      I don’t do any research on viruses, so I can only provide a layperson’s opinion about the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2, as it’s named). Clearly this is serious, as the disease is spreading all over the world, and it is quite dangerous, especially to old people and those of us with pre-existing conditions. It is good to see that people are taking this seriously, being careful about hygiene, and doing our best to limit spread of the virus.
