• Question: Do you like doing experiment? If yes, what experiment do you like most?

      I love doing experiments. It is probably my favourite thing about the job. Finding out new things can be very exciting. I wish i had more time in the lab sometimes.

      At the moment i am doing lots of experiments where i stress plants by taking away their water. I then look to see what happens to their DNA in response to that stress. It is really nice to see genes going crazy in response to the stress, so we can figure out how the plant is coping. Once i figure that out i can come up with solutions to help them.

    I love doing experiments! This is the best part of my job. I enjoy designing experiments to answer specific questions. I am about to go and look at the results of some I designed together with some of the students who are doing their final year projects with me at the moment, and there is a good level of anticipation and excitement in the lab at the moment!
