      Hi Miss C,

Excellent question and a tricky one to answer. I am going to say no, with a big BUT. It all depends on where you are in the world and what foods you have access to. As it stands now, i do not think we can afford to take meat completely out of human diets as we have not got adequate food to replace it with globally.

For some people meat may be their only source of calories as they do not have access to vegetables and crops (due to climate change or many others reasons ).

But in the future we may be eating meat that has been grown in a lab rather than by killing animals. We can already buy chicken and steak that is lab grown but it is so so so expensive. This obviously doesn’t help those in poorer countries.

Hope this kinda answers your question. Interested to see what you think about? Would you eat lab grown chicken breasts?

I don’t think so, at least I don’t think humans would stop eating meat in some form or other. For example it may be possible for us to develop substitutes that are essentially meat but do not require us to raise and kill animals. The reason I say this is that there are many driving factors that make people want to eat meat and it will be difficult for people to resist all of these factors.
